Past Tense or Present Tense?

I think the text in English said My brother and I loved it but it translated to "A mi hermano y a mí nos encanta" should it be in past preterite? or should the English text read My bother and I love it.

Thank you!

Hola Harley

I checked and both the English and the Spanish are using the present tense:

A mi hermano y a mí nos encanta

My brother and I love it

Saludos
