Is computadora not computer too

Got an answer wrong on a test, they said it was ordenador, I was only familiar with it as computadora

In Latin America the word used is " la computadora", in Spain it is "el ordenador". Can you tell me which exercise you are referring to? Was it a fill-in'the-blank exercise?
