I'm confused on the Tip included in this lesson

What did you mean when you wrote the tip "The full set of six forms is used with the past participles of another verb to form another tense, El Futuro Perfecto, for example..."?

I'm a little confused on what you mean by that, so if you can please explain it to me or give an example, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hola M. M.

Thanks for your question! It's a really good one and I'm happy to clarify.

When we say “the full set of six forms is used with the past participles of another verb to form another tense, El Futuro Perfecto”, we're referring to how the verb haber, when conjugated in the simple future tense, becomes the foundation for creating the Future Perfect tense in Spanish. Each of the six personal forms of haber (habré, habrás, habrá, habremos, habréis, habrán) corresponds to a different subject (yo, tú, él, etc.).

To form the Futuro Perfecto, you combine one of those future forms of haber with the past participle of a main verb. For example, in the sentence Yo habré hecho la comida ("I will have made lunch"), habré is the future form of haber for yo, and hecho is the past participle of hacer.

This structure applies across all six persons. So you get sentences like Tú habrás comido ("You will have eaten") or Ellos habrán salido ("They will have left"). That’s what the tip is summarizing—haber in the future tense is not usually used on its own, but as a helping verb to form this compound tense.

I hope this helps clarify the meaning of the tip! Let us know if you'd like more examples or further explanation.

Cordialmente

Silvia
