I have the following sentence: "La sospechosa fue interrogada por la mañana."
How is this tense called? Checking your nice overview https://spanish.kwiziq.com/spanish-tense-names here, I have guessed it to be one of the Los Pasados Progresivos forms https://spanish.kwiziq.com/spanish-tense-names - but it seems to be different by using "fue" and not "estar". Any help would be appreciated.
This is the passive, i.e. using the verb to be (ser) conjugated plus a past participle as in: he is watched, she was attacked, they have been shot... etc
So, this sentence is using the passive in the indefinido:
La sospechosa fue interrogada por la mañana.
The suspect was interrogated in the morning.
Have a look at the lesson -Forming the passive voice with ser + participle (+ por) (passive - simple tenses)
Thanks to both of you, I really appreciate your help and answers.
