Había va. Habían

Había va. Habían

Sentence: “Ella dijo que  habían problemas en el trabajo.”

Why is “habían” used and not “había”?

Is it because “problemas” is plural?

Hola Leah

The correct answer is indeed "había". I checked to see if there was some kind of error in the system but it's all set up correctly. In your test (studyplan) that you did on 3rd June you chose the incorrect answer "habían" and on the report page you can see how our correct answer showing in green is saying "había". Maybe you thought you had picked había but you picked habían by mistake.

I hope this clarifies it.

Saludos cordiales

That looks like an error and should be "había" for singular or plural.
