European pronunciation

European pronunciation

The European pronunciation is really weird-sounding. "Z" pronounced as "f," "c" pronounced as "th," and "vodka" sounded like "votha." And this is the first time I heard a "g" pronounced as it was in "ginebra." I guess I need to do more of these listening exercises! Or is it too much trouble to include a Latin American version?

Believe it or not, you'll also hear different Spanish accents in Latin America, especially in areas where there are Spanish speakers from other places.  Today I heard the word for onion, cebolla, pronounced as "se-bay-sja".

Hola William

At the moment we can only offer one audio version of the dictations. Some of them are with Latin American voices, but not this one. We tend to use one or the other depending on the theme. This one is about a beach in Valencia and a typical Spanish drink so we used a Peninsular voice for it this time.

Saludos cordiales
