El Futuro Simple

Does “¿Dónde estarán?” mean both “where will they be?” and “where might they be?” ?

I would think there would be different ways to express the two different meanings in Spanish.

Hola Javier

Yes, it can mean both, depending on the context. It could be using the simple future to express an action that "will happen" (literal) or, if the person is "wondering" what might be happening at the moment of speaking then the nuance is that of "might".

I hope it clarifies it.

Saludos
