Es bueno / está bien ... estudies todas las tardes

Question

Hi,I am also a little confused by this lesson.  I accept that they must be used as written but as the former modifies an adjective and the other a verb, how does this relate to the sentence above?  Do they both relate in different ways to the second part of the sentence?  Also, although they have the same translation, is there any difference to a Spanish speaker?I need to understand when to apply each so that I don't make a mistake.Gracias y saludos,Colin

Both structures mean the same: it's good  
Think about:  algo es bueno / algo está bien (something is good) 
The "algo" would be the subject of the sentence.
In these sentences, e.g. "Es bueno que estudies todas las tardes", the clause has the same function as that "algo" (subject):
Que estudies todas las tardes (subj.) es (verb) bueno (adjective/attribute)
Que estudies todas las tardes (subj.) está (verb ) bien (adverb)
The meaning is the same, it doesn't change, you can choose one or the other. 
What you can't do is mix them: es bien (incorrect)  está bueno (incorrect)
