English translation

________ parece una muñeca de porcelana. Because of all that make-up she looks like a porcelain doll.De tanto como se maquilla.
Hola, I’m confused about the English translation, which  uses the noun make-up (maquillaje in Spanish). However the Spanish uses the verb se maquilla, which I thought means to put on make up (Because of all the makeup she puts on..). Muchas gracias, Shirley.

Hola Shirley

You're absolutely right, and thanks for pointing out this detail. We have just changed the English translation. This new one better reflects the action of applying makeup, as indicated by the verb in the Spanish sentence.

Thank you for your keen observation, and we appreciate your help in making our translations more accurate!

Saludos

Hola Shirley

Just to clarify the use of the noun "all the make-up..", this is because the most natural way to say it to match the verb "maquillarse", as you see in the answer "De tanto como se maquilla...", the English generally uses the expression "to put on make-up" instead of a verb like "to make-up" (?), you need to wear/to put on...

Saludos
