Last summer, Elena found an old photo in a drawer. In the photo, she was about eight years old. She was standing next to her best friend, Laura. The two girls were laughing and looked very happy. The photo reminded Elena of a summer she spent with Laura beside the sea. They used to spend every morning at the beach. One day, they found a small cave near the cliffs. They were so excited that they ran inside immediately. Inside, it was dark and smelled of salt and old wood. All of a sudden, they heard a strange noise that came from the back. The two friends looked at each other and burst out laughing. It was only a seagull that had got lost inside the cave. Holding the photo, Elena suddenly missed her old friend. She decided to call her and tell her about the photo.
