Easter is celebrated in many ways around the world, and each country has very different traditions. In Spain, for example, the streets are filled with processions with drums, candles and large religious images. In the United States and the United Kingdom, chocolate eggs are usually the main attraction. Children search for hidden eggs in gardens, parks or behind trees. In Germany there is a very curious tradition: decorating trees with colored eggs. These eye-catching Easter trees announce the arrival of spring and fill the gardens with color. In Australia, instead of the Easter Bunny, many people prefer the bilby, a local animal. Although traditions vary greatly, Easter always celebrates spring and renewal.
