Previously, many women worked only at home. Their main job was looking after the children. They also cleaned and cooked every day. Some women worked as seamstresses or teachers. It wasn't easy for them to study or have a good job. Today, the situation is different in many countries. Women study at university. They work as doctors, engineers or police officers. They also hold important positions in companies. Now, more women are independent. There are still challenges, but there is more equality than before.
