For some time now, I've been into turning on energy efficiency settings on all my electronic devices. It wasn't just for environmental reasons, but because I got tired of seeing the battery drain in five minutes. I started with the basics: power saving mode, lower brightness and turning off anything I'm not using. Suddenly, my phone was no longer glued to the charger like it was in intensive care. I also turned off useless notifications, because in addition to wasting energy, they were stealing my patience. At home I did the same: timers on the lights and heating only in the places I'm actually in. I even use eco mode on the washing machine: it takes longer, yes, but I feel like it's worth it. Now I feel lighter and less overwhelmed by digital "noise." In the end, energy efficiency doesn't change my life, but it improves my daily routine.
