Yesterday I spent an unforgettable evening in Cartagena, a coastal city in Colombia that comes alive when the sun goes down. The streets of the historic center are filled with music, warm lights and the sound of salsa music emanating from every corner. What surprised me most was seeing so many families and tourists strolling peacefully at that hour. Street vendors sold arepas, empanadas and tropical juices, while street artists painted portraits or played instruments. There was truly a magical atmosphere, as if everyone was celebrating something. That evening I understood why many say Colombia has a soul. Without a doubt, I would love to return and experience it again.
