In addition, climate change affects food availability, as plants and insects change their cycles due to the weather, and birds find less food in the usual places. Likewise, extreme weather can destroy important habitats. Strong storms and droughts are increasingly common, reducing the areas where birds rest. Pollution and deforestation also complicate the situation. Therefore, it is crucial to protect ecosystems to help migratory birds. Scientists study these changes to find solutions, and international cooperation is necessary to face this challenge. We can all contribute by reducing our carbon footprint.
