To compete to be a firefighter in Spain, you must meet the following requirements: first, be of legal age and have the nationality of any EU member state. Second, be in possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; third, have a driving license; fourth, have no criminal record and fifth, be in good physical and mental condition. Once you fulfil all this, you will have to sit the firefighter public service exams in your autonomous community. These consist of several phases: theoretical exams, physical tests, medical tests and personal interviews. We need to prepare very well for them.
