Also note that all forms have accents except for the ellos form. For the tú, nosotros and vosotros forms, this is to avoid the -o- and -i- forming a diphthong [oi].

Tú oíste pero no escuchaste.You heard but you didn't listen.
Él oyó la poesía en el salón de actos.He heard the poetry in the main hall.
Usted oyó las quejas pero no hizo nada.You heard the complaints but you didn't do anything.
Nosotras oímos el concierto desde casa.We heard the concert from home.
Vosotros oísteis el sonido en la habitación.You heard the sound in the room.
Ellas no oyeron la canción.They didn't hear the song.
Ustedes oyeron la guitarra.You heard the guitar. (You formal plural)
