Spanish online reading and listening practice – level B1

Listen to this Flamenco-style song that incorporates the lyrics to a couple of more traditional Spanish Christmas carols. These are known as villancicos flamencos. There are several times where you can hear a very Andalucian way of pronouncing words, in particular where they drop the letter D from near the end of words. You can read more about this phenomenon here: Omission of the letter d in colloquial Spanish.

This reading and listening exercise can help you practise the position of pronouns with conjugated verbs and the position of direct and indirect object pronouns with affirmative commands.
