Why did I get this wrong

I answered “están aconsejando” but it was wrong - it notes that “estan aconsejando” is the correct answer…


But NOTHING in the lesson explains this

Hola Stefan

I looked at your actual answer for that test-question and it seems that you typed the answer correctly but didn't include the accent on "están" , so the system is telling you (with a green tick but not a complete green circle) that it´s nearly correct for that reason. And it´s showing on the other side the completely correct answer using están with the accent (with a green tick and a completely green circle. 

I hope this clarifies it.
