When to use 'Yo soy' and "yo estas"

Please explain when we should use "Yo soy " and "Yo estas" - in what contexts??

Hola Merle

We use the verb ser for certain contexts and the verb estar for others. There is no quick answer for that. We have lots of micro-lessons in Kwiziq that will teach you in what contexts you need to use one or the other. If you click here you will see lots of lessons at the bottom, all to do with ser and estar.

Note that the right conjugation for estar in the yo form would be "estoy" :))
