It was interesting to see your example: "... desde que los niños se hayan ido al colegio" as an illustration of how we can use the "Perfect" tense [i.e., the one compounded with 'haber'] - in a future context - because most of the time this tense refers to something in the [recent] past.

Yes, the perfect tense in the subjunctive can refer to a future tense with desde que.
