Had a home or had home?

Had a home or had home?

Why is it wrong to put.   "No  tenía una casa"?    i.e  include "una"   in the translation of :  I didn't have a house.

Hola Ian

You can also use the article here, so I included as a possible correct answer. Just so you know for further tests, when the kwiz is about conjugating a verb, so you find a hint saying "Conjugate the verb... in whatever tense", we are just testing the verb conjugation, not any other element in the sentence. You only have to focus on the verb.

Un saludo

Inma
