Flexibility when there are multiple objets

Hello,

I'm interested in the flexibility when there are multiple objets. The first example on the page is: A mí me diste muy poco dinero pero a ella le diste mucho.

Would

A mí me diste muy poco dinero pero a ella mucho.

also be correct?

And what about:

A mí me diste muy poco dinero pero a ella diste mucho.

?
thanks!

Hola Paolo

Your first sentence is correct:

A mí me diste muy poco dinero pero a ella mucho.

You are omitting here the whole structure "le diste" that doesn't need to be repeated as it is implicit. It is very common to drop it.

The second one doesn't sound OK when you just drop "le" because, although it is also implicit, you can't leave the verb without the pronoun, you either omit it all (as before) or repeat it all. It just doesn't sound natural.

Saludos cordiales

¡Feliz Navidad!
