Este año with present perfect

Could it be used with he comprado instead of compro?

This is the sentence you are referring to: 
Este es el tercer coche que compro este año.
(This is the third car I have bought this year.)

With this structure "Este/a es .....que ..." we normally use the present. It would sound a bit weird to use the present perfect here. There are other typical sentences with this structure using the present, not the present perfect:

Esta es la última vez que te presto dinero.
(This is the last time I lend you any money.)
Esta es la primera vez que alguien me regala flores.
(This is the first time someone has ever bought me flowers.)
