en un tablao flamenco?

Can't find a meaning for 'tablao'.

Sevillanas must be a kind of dance, I hope.

Thanks.

Hola Andycat

the word "tablao" comes from "tablado". Marsha gave a very good definition of what it is. Here is what the R.A.E says.

There is an omission of the letter "d" making "tablado" become "tablao". This is (I am guessing) because in Andalucía, where flamenco is performed regularly, there is a tendency to drop the letter "d" in words ending in -ado, -ada. We have some information about this too.

I hope this helped.
