Three years ago, I decided to go kayaking alone on the river. It was a clear morning and the river looked calm. I had been paddling for two hours when the weather suddenly changed. Dark clouds appeared and it began to rain heavily. The current got stronger and I was afraid. I hoped that I would find a bank to pull out of the water soon. After thirty minutes, I managed to reach a small sandy bank. I waited there until the storm ended. During those hours alone by the river, I thought a lot about my life. I realized that I wanted to change my job and spend more time outdoors. When the storm stopped, I felt calmer than ever before. The sky had cleared and the river was shining in the sunlight. I got back in the kayak and paddled to the end of the route, smiling. That day on the river changed everything for me.
