In Spain, Holy Week is very important, and in Zamora it is celebrated with great emotion. One of its best-known traditions is the singing of the Miserere, full of profound emotion. It is celebrated on Holy Wednesday night, in an atmosphere of silence and respect. The streets are almost dark, and people walk slowly. The members of the brotherhood wear robes and carry candles, while soft drums play. When everyone sings together in the square, it creates a solemn moment that is truly moving.

Clever stuff happening!
