False cordiality often manifests itself when kindness ceases to be spontaneous. Instead of expressing closeness, it becomes a repetitive gesture. Often, it stems not from desire, but from habit. This type of treatment helps avoid awkward moments. Thus, a seemingly peaceful coexistence is maintained and everything appears fine on the surface. However, communication loses clarity and messages become ambiguous and indirect. The right words are spoken but they sound empty and without real intention. Courtesy then acts as a social mask. It serves to fulfill obligations, not to connect. This avoids immediate conflicts but it also weakens trust over time, creating a discomfort that is difficult to explain because authenticity is lacking in these relationships.
