Celebrating New Year in the heights of Peru is a unique experience. Many people travel to Cusco or the Sacred Valley. There, they welcome the new year among mountains and nature. On the night of December 31, there are fireworks in the sky. In many Andean towns, people celebrate in squares and streets. People also toast with champagne or pisco, a traditional drink.
