Francisco Estrada was the true inventor of electricity in Latin America in 1868. That year, he achieved a very important milestone because he artificially illuminated the central patio of the Scientific and Literary Institute in front of authorities, reporters and curious onlookers. It was such a surprising thing! But it is a fact that few people know about this inventor because he did not patent his electricity-generating machine, and so this invention appeared in exhibitions as the work of other inventors.
