I'm spending Christmas in Mexico with my best friend Roberta, and I just learned an amazing tradition which takes place on New Year's Eve. That day, some Mexicans eat 12 grapes when the midnight bells ring, since they say this tradition brings fortune. Others eat a plate of lentils before or during dinner because this legume is associated with abundance, prosperity and economy. What interesting rituals!

Clever stuff happening!
