This festival takes place in the south of Mexico and it is one of the most popular in the whole country. Many families travel to the city of Merida (in order) to celebrate the greatness of the Maya civilisation, have fun on the fairground rides and attend plays and circus shows. There are so many activities available that it is difficult to choose the best one. If you like animals, I recommend that you see the cattle trade fair or attend the equestrian events. You will really like this festival and you will want to return next year.
