Every year on 23 April, book lovers celebrate International Book Day, but did you know it is also the United Nations Spanish Language Day? Many people know that 23 April 1616 was the date Shakespeare died, and most hispanophiles will know it is also the same day that Miguel de Cervantes, considered Spain’s greatest novelist, poet and playwright was buried.

This reading and listening exercise can help you practise El Imperfecto de Subjuntivo, the passive voice, and the position of adjectives.
