Tip that indicative never follows como si

Am I reading something incorrectly? In the tip it says ”…in Spanish como si can never be followed by a tense in the indicative or El Presente de Subjuntivo.” But in the topic “using como si in Spanish with indicative to express indifference” it seems to contradict this. Am I missing something?

Hola Erika

No, you're right. We reworded what was explained in the lesson on "como si" + imperfect subjunctive so it's clearer now. Como si can indeed be followed by the indicative, but it would have a completely different meaning. It does express indifference towards something. That is in this other lesson. I connected the two lessons so students can compare them and see the different usages of como si. I hope it helps.

Saludos
