¡Hola!
Following on from my post yesterday about food, it's time to take a look at Easter food. I know what you are thinking, it's all about chocolate right? Wrong! I made torrijas this week for the first time! Usually I go to Spain for Semana Santa, and you can buy them in many places. I have to say they are really my favourite sweet dish of this time of the year, yes, more than chocolate! So what are they? A lot of people say they are like a Spanish version of French toast. The real difference is that you mix egg and milk together when you make French toast, but for torrijas, you soak the bread in milk that's been boiled and infused with cinnamon and lemon zest and only after do you coat it in egg. Take a look at the recipe in the form of one of our bilingual readers!

I really hope you try making them and enjoy them as much as I did!
