Going back in time

"Remonter le temps"
French B1 writing exercise

Marine asks Amanda, Bruno and Sébastien what they would do if they could go back in time.

Pay attention to the hints!

Some vocabulary you may want to look up before or during this exercise: "to agree to [do something]", "to make a mistake", "a mark (school)", "to be tempted to".

I’ll give you some sentences to translate into French

  • I’ll show you where you make mistakes
  • I’ll keep track of what you need to practise
  • Change my choices if you want

And you, what would you do if you could go back in time? Amanda, 33: "I'd go back to June 12th, 2009, and this time, I'd agree to go out with Paul. At the time, I didn't know what I know now, and I wouldn't make the same mistake again." Bruno, 19: "I'd retake the Baccaulaureat exam that I failed last June. Now that I know the answers, I should get better marks!" Sébastien, 26: "I'd be tempted to try and change History, by going to 1889 for example, the year when Hitler was born, but if science-fiction has taught us anything, it's that the consequences would probably be worse!"

Let me take a look at that...
