Olivia had always wanted to discover California. For as long as she could remember, she'd fantasised about warm sand beaches, rows of palm trees and movie stars. But what fascinated her the most remained this image of a land both arid and lush, which comprised desert, forests, ocean and mountains, an endless adventure she couldn't resist. One day, she got fed up with waiting: whether she could afford it or not, she had to go! So, she drew out the little savings she had left, and after taking a last look at the life she was leaving behind, she got on the first bus heading west.
