In Spain, azulejos<\/em> have their roots in the tradition of Al-\u00c1ndalus and decorate patios, palaces and fa\u00e7ades. In Latin America, this element arrived during the colonial period and adapted to local styles and contexts, especially in haciendas and churches.<\/p>\n
